How to make aloo tikka :
Ingredients:
4 medium sized sliced potatoes.
2 tsp red chilli powder,
½ tsp garam masala powder,
1 tsp chaat masala powder,
1 tsp coriander powder/dhania powder,
½ tsp kasuri methi (crushed),
⅛ tsp or 2 to 3 pinches turmeric powder (optional)
salt as required
2tsp curd
1 tsp basil powder
2 tsp garil ginger paste
orange extract (optional)
Process of making aloo tikka recipe:
take 4 medium potatoes and peel them.
now slice the potatoes and keep them in a pressure cooker.
keep the pressure cooker on stove for 1 whistle and dont open the lid until pressure cooker gets cooled.
mean while take a bowl and add two tablespoons of curd.
add the following spices – 1.5 to 2 tsp red chili powder, ½ tsp garam masala powder, 1 tsp chaat masala powder, 1 tsp coriander powder/dhania powder, ½ tsp kasuri methi (crushed), ⅛ tsp or 2 to 3 pinches turmeric powder (optional) and salt as required. kasuri methi is optional and skip if you do not have them.
mix all ingredients very well.
now add 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste, 1tsp basil powder and stir it well.
you can also add orange color extract but it is optional.
mix again well.
check the taste of the marination and add more salt if required.
now add potatoes to marination and mix very well.
frying potatoes:
take a and add two tsp oil make oil gets heat for 20 to 30sec.
now add potatoes to oil and fry them for 10min.
stir the potatoes for each 2 to 3 minutes.
take baking tray or pan and apply some butter to it.
now take the potatoes in a bowl and thread the potatoes on a skewer and place them on a tray which has been lined.
keep this try into micro oven for 10 to 15 minutes with 300ºC.
while its baking once or twice remove the tray and apply some with brush to potatoes.
and again keep it into oven.
take care while applying oil to potatoes as they are too hot.
after 15-20 minute remove the tray.
now your aloo tikka is ready to eat.
serve this tasty hot aloo tikka with tomato ketchup.
