How to prepare Samya(Vermicelli) Upma recipe:

Samya upma


Ingredients:

4 tea glasses samya,
1 tablespoon chana dal,
1 tablespoon urad dal,
1/2 tablespoon mustard seeds,
1/2 tablespoons cumin seeds,
1 tablespoon curry leaves,
2-3 tablespoons oil,
2 green chili,
1 large onion sliced,
8 tea glasses water,
salt as required


How to prepare recipe:

  • take pan or kadai add oil with low to medium flame.
  • then add chana dal, urad dal, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves to oil.
  • fry them until they changed to light golden color.
  • now add sliced onions and green chili and fry them for 4 - 5 minutes with medium flame.
  • stir the onions once for each  minute.
  • then add water to that mixer and make the flame into heigh.
  • add salt to that water and cook it until water get boiled.
  • once the water boiled make the flame into low and add samya.
  • cook it for 10 - 15 minutes depends how much watery or smooth of samya you want. 
  • now switch off the flame and serve hot with coconut chutney or roasted chana dal powder.

Step by step process of making samya upma recipe:
